UBUD hidden gems - Padma Ubud Resort

On our recent trip to Bali we were so happy to explore the newly opened Padma Resort Ubud.

- Padma Ubud  -

We knew we was going to absolutely love it here as soon as we saw the lobby.  Absolutely stunning and beautiful resort. Staff were immediately friendly and so helpful.

Padma Resort Ubud has one of the most beautiful and natural locations in North of Bali. The resort is surrounding by untouched river valley and overlooking the enchanting bamboo forests of Payangan in Ubud.

The rooms are traditionally designed with Balinese styles, simple and sophisticated. We love the view from our room, it is so relaxing, Overlooked the forest and if you get up early in the morning you can still hear the animal sound in the morning singing for you, a breathtaking view that makes you smile every day.

We loved the open plan room, with the bedroom and bathroom being able to be opened up and connect in every side.

Eventhough the location is a bit far from central Ubud, you don’t need to worry about your hunger, as the food here is delicious, whether having lunch by the pool, breakfast and dinner with a view or indulging in the afternoon tea...

Going to Padma Resort Ubud, first thing pop up in my mind was their infinity pool surrounded with amazing view. And here I am... Enjoying their pool facility and enjoying the beautiful Ubud nature.

And once again, the staff here had been so genuinely friendly. There wasn’t even such a thing as a passing hello, as every hello turned into a genuine conversation and they were very helpful when my little girl need a help to pumping her inflatable swimming ring, everything makes us more and more enjoyable during our stay. Padma ubud also provide kids pool so everyone including kids can enjoy their Bali vacation at Padma ubud.

Padma Resort Ubud was a beautiful sanctuary for every Travelista. And it a must try resort in Ubud...

TIJILI - The newest eclectic Boutique hotel in Seminyak

Hello Bali, we're back for a short trip and this time we got the chance to experience the newly opened Tijili Seminyak for 2 nights. Tijili Seminyak is a brand new boutique hotel, located just steps away from seminyak beach, and only 20 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Well, actually it’s still in it’s soft opening period, but in so many ways it is already complete.

As we walk entering the hotel Lobby, we are impressed with the hotel design..  It was colorful, funky, unique and different in a good way. Everything looks so cute, start from the lobby to the restaurant.

And as we enter our room, we a little bit surprise because it was more simple than we expected, maybe it's because we expected a playful and unique room  :)...  For the bathroom, it was simple and clean... And we got a balcony overlooked the pool area.

The pool is not too big but is very pretty surrounded by greens, cute colorful bean bags chairs and cubic table. And here at Tijili we can use the pool until 11PM, which is great because me and my friends love to chit chat by the pool and swim at night.

The pool area also connects directly to the restaurant and lounge area,  where you can also lazy around in the sofa while ordering breakfast or even a signature drinks from the bar.

However, the pool’s depth is not clearly written anywhere near the pool and the staffs seemed lack of training, they were not exactly helpful in term of providing the information. So my suggestion is they need to write down the depth so family with small children can get the information before they swim.

The breakfasts are served in their main restaurant which is Kakatua Tropic Lounge located next to the lobby.

And currently they only have 3 options of a la carte breakfasts from American, Intercontinental, and Indonesian.

However, they are preparing the buffet station for the breakfast and hopefully it will be available starting from next month. And eventhough the breakfast are served a la carte, everything taste delicious and fulfilling, so don't worry.

Beside breakfast we also tried 3 of Kakatua Tropic signature dishes : a mouthwatering pork belly, Pan - Seared Mahi Mahi and last but not least the balinese iconic dish " Bebek Betutu Goreng "...

As I was told you earlier, this hotel it's self still in its soft opening period, so they still improving a lot of things. 

But Overall, I was satisfied staying at Tijili and Tijili would be a great choice for everyone who love art or for everyone who seeking for a cozy hotel with affordable price and good location.

BERBAGAI PILIHAN PEMPEK UNIK DI PEMPEK BELIDA MAS

Hi hi Pempek lovers... Kali ini Myfoodfairytales habis berkunjung ke salah satu pempek di daerah Garuda, namanya Pempek Belida Mas.

Nah tempatnya sih di jalan Raya Garuda, hanya saja tempatnya agak tersembunyi jadi agak pelan-pelan ya kalau mau cari tempatnya. Tempatnya pas diseberang Alfa Midi Garuda. Atau lebih mudah pakai Google Maps aja ya jaman sekarang :)

Nah pempek yang Myfoodfairytales coba kali ini super duper lengkap pilihan pempeknya mulai dari pempek kapal selam yang mungkin sudah banyak dijumpai di tempat lainnya, hingga pempek mozzarella yang cocok untuk pecinta cheese, atau mungkin pempek Cumi atau pempek telor asin buat yang mau merasakan sesuatu yang berbeda.

Pempek di Belida Mas ini terbuat dari campuran daging ikan tenggiri dan daging ikan Belida. Apa itu ikan belida?? Awalnya Myfoodfairytales juga sedikit bingung apa itu ikan belida, karena jaman sekarang rata-rata pempek menggunakan ikan tenggiri. 

Ternyata ikan belida adalah ikan yang biasa digunakan oleh orang palembang untuk membuat pempek sebelum mereka menggunakan ikan tenggiri seperti sekarang, dan sekarang ikan tersebut sudah sangat susah ditemui. Namun pempek yang menggunakan ikan tersebut memang menjadi lebih gurih dan lezat. Itulah yang membuat pempek Belida Mas ini terasa beda...

Tapi ga cuma pempek sih food lovers, di pempek Belida Mas ini, kalian juga bisa mencoba mie Ayam mereka. Mie Ayam di tempat ini ada beberapa pilihan mie, mulai dari mie biasa, mie hijau, hingga mie rainbow seperti foto dibawah ini.
